Challenges with Traditional Bioreactors
- Costly and Complex
Traditional Bioreactors require multiple specialized parts and extensive maintenance.
BioTilt™ Advantage:
The BioTilt™ eliminates the need for complex assemblies of filters, pumps, and tubes, significantly reducing system complexity and maintenance requirements - Bulky Design
Footprint of a traditional bioreactor takes up significant shelf space, limiting lab capacity and practicality for small-scale operations.
BioTilt™ Advantage:
The straightforward vessel coupler design and integrated automated agitation reduce the overall footprint, making it more space-efficient and suitable for various lab sizes. - Difficult to Maintain Aseptic Conditions
Complicated structure makes hard to sterilize and maintain, involving labor-intensive assembly and disassembly.
BioTilt™ Advantage:
Simplified design ensures easier cleaning and sterilization, maintaining aseptic conditions with less effort. - Vitrification and Hyperhydricity
Issues from the submerged conditions in traditional bioreactors due to hindered gas exchange.
BioTilt™ Advantage:
Automated agitation ensures efficient mixing and aeration without additional pumps or filters. Users can control immersion times and frequencies, allowing fine-tuning of propagation to avoid problems of vitrification and hyperhydricity by facilitating better gas exchange
How The BioTilt Works
The BioTilt™ automates the Biocoupler's process by integrating advanced agitation and control mechanisms. The BioTilt™ system features a rack that securely holds multiple Biocoupler™ units, which are then moved in a precise motion circuit by a motivator. This automated agitation ensures
consistent nutrient distribution and gas exchange without the need for manual intervention. Additionally, the BioTilt™ can be programmed to control various environmental factors, such as light and gas supply, further enhancing the efficiency and scalability of the plant culture process.
What Makes BioTilt™ Stand Out?
BioTilt™ distinguishes itself by revolutionizing plant care with the simplest bioreactor, the BioCoupler™, seamlessly integrating sustainable practices with state-of-the-art technology.- Higher Yields than Traditional Semi-Solid Tissue Culture Multiplication
- Reduction of Manual Labor through Automation and Control via BioTilt™
- Scalability for Different Operation Sizes
- Reduced Costs by Excluding the Use of Gelling Agents
The BioCoupler™
The Biocoupler™ is a device designed to facilitate the aseptic liquid culture of plants. It consists of two vessels connected by a vessel coupler, allowing for fluid communication between them. This setup enables efficient nutrient exchange and promotes optimal plant growth. Before the BioTilt™ system typically requires manual agitation to ensure even distribution of nutrients and gases within the vessels.
How To Use BioCoupler™
The Biocoupler™ simplifies plant multiplication! This cap-like system with a built-in filter connects with glass jars having neck finishes between 70-450 for temporary immersion of plantlets in a liquid medium.
